Are all the rooms en suite?
Yes, they are. All with shower, hairdryer, linens and accessories.

Does the Hotel Agathae offer tours of the city?
Not directly but we can point you in the right direction. Tours up to the crater of Mount Etna can be arranged by our staff and you’ll be picked up from the Hotel entrance.

What’s the cancellation policy?
Bookings are guaranteed by a credit card (no deposit necessary) and may be modified or cancelled up to 48 hours before you arrive. After this point there is a charge of the first night.

Do you have disabled facilities?
We do have rooms with bathrooms designed for the disabled, but because the building is very old we are unable to install a lift. There are no accommodations on the ground floor.

Which languages are spoken at the Hotel Agathae?
English, Spanish and French.

Is breakfast included in the price?
Yes it is – Italian style breakfast in our social breakfast room.

What is there to do in Catania?
You can spend entire days taking in this beautiful city. The major attractions are the Duomo, Piazza Universitá, the Bellini Theatre and the famous Botanic Gardens. Added to this, Catania has a surprisingly vibrant nightlife and an array of fine quality places to eat, all at great prices compared to mainland Italy.

How easy is it to move around Sicily?
Most of the island’s towns are connected by coach and by rail and travel is fairly cheap. Public transport within towns is fairly limited however. Taxi in Catania cost a fixed price of €10 to tourists.
